It’s the end of the school year and time to clean up. It’s good to clean up your paperwork, but it’s also important to clean up your digital work. If you’re using Percentally Pro 2, you can delete items that you no longer need in the app.

Before you start deleting, I recommend that you export and backup your data. You should export all student data for progress summaries and your records. In the unfortunate case that you delete more than you wanted, you’ll also want a backup file to restore. In Percentally Pro 2, there are various delete options (More > Options) to consider. You can Delete All Goals, All Students and Sessions, All Sessions, or All Goals, Students and Sessions. I will explain what each option does, and a use case for each option.

Delete All Goals
All goals in the Goal Bank will be deleted; however, the goals assigned to students will not be removed. In other words, your student’s goals will remain in the app. Additionally, sessions and students will be preserved.

Use case: you want to start over with the goals in the Goal Bank

Delete All Students and Sessions
All students and their data as well as the sessions will be deleted. Goals in the Goal Bank will be preserved.

Use case: you’re moving to a different school with a different caseload, and you want to keep your goals to assign to new students.

Delete All Sessions
All sessions will be deleted. Students and their data as well as goals in the Goal Bank will be preserved.

Use case: you’re continuing at the same school next school year with the same caseload.

Delete All Goals, Students, and Sessions
All goals, students and their data, and sessions will be deleted. In other words, anything you added in the app will be deleted.

Use case: you want a completely fresh start in the app
