The 2015 American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) convention is now officially a wrap. The convention was held November 12 - 14 at the Colorado Convention Center and the Hyatt hotel in Denver, Colorado. Over 14,000 people attended various events throughout the convention. I attended memorable sessions and social events, and my wife and I exhibited apps for my company, Expressive Solutions, in the exhibit hall. We're pleased to announce that Raffleway 1.2 is now available, and it is FREE for new and existing users. Here’s a list of what’s new: Barcode scanning that scans QR Code, PDF417, and Aztec barcode types commonly used in convention badges. Includes an unlimited number of FREE test scans for barcode scanning. 1 month or 1 year In-App Purchase (IAP) subscription for barcode scanning that saves the information scanned. Barcode scanning IAP saves first name, last name, and email address for a giveaway, but it also saves all of the information from a convention badge for exporting to CSV. Our giveaway app, Raffleway, is now available for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. We are very excited for users to have the opportunity to run in-person giveaways with Raffleway. Raffleway requires iOS 8.2 and is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. In order to use the Apple Watch app for Raffleway, you will need an iPhone 5 or later in close proximity. Raffleway allows anyone to easily run in-person giveaways at conventions, schools, presentations, and other events. Simply collect names and email addresses of participants, then pick the winners. Participant information can be exported for email marketing, and winners can be shared via social media. At Expressive Solutions, we create apps for children with speech-language and special needs. We also attend conventions and do presentations on our apps as well as others. At these events, we enjoy doing giveaways for promotion and to increase participation. After hosting several giveaways with raffle tickets and paper slips, we realized we needed to develop our own iOS app. So, we created Raffleway, an iPhone and iPad app with Apple Watch support for raffles and giveaways. For the last few years, we have been known to host giveaways at various events including presentations and conventions. After hosting the giveaways by using raffle tickets or paper slips (because the raffle apps weren’t sufficient), we decided to develop our own iOS app. As a result, we created Raffleway, an iPhone and iPad app with Apple Watch support for raffles and giveaways. Currently, we are in the final stage of testing Raffleway, and we hope to submit the app to Apple this week. We plan to offer the app at $4.99, which we feel is a very reasonable price, given the features it has. For more information about Raffleway, check out the Raffleway webpage.

Our Expressive Solutions team had a great time exhibiting at the ASHA National Convention in Orlando, Florida. We always enjoy meeting so many amazing SLPs and hearing stories from you about how you are using our apps for speech therapy. Your commitment to your students and enthusiasm for learning are inspiring. Our favorite part is always being able to give back to you. We had almost 500 people entered in our iPad Air, Gripcase, and iTunes codes giveaways. It was so exciting to see the crowd gathered to announce the winners. We had a wonderful time in Chicago at the 2013 ASHA Convention, where we met amazing speech-language pathologists and audiologists who visited our booth.
