This year I will be presenting all-day sessions on iPad for students with speech-language needs, and I recently finished my slideshow. It was fun compiling the slides, as the content focuses on how I typically implement iPad (as a school-based SLP) with my students who have speech-language needs. To this end, I was excited to include the latest features from Percentally Pro 2.1, my data collection app I use each day as an SLP. You can see the Percentally Pro 2.1 information on pages 69 - 86 in the slideshow below. The slideshow also includes ideas and strategies for several other apps. iPad for Speech-Language Needs from Eric Sailers

Thank you for your support of our company, Expressive Solutions. In 2014, we introduced two new iOS apps, Percentally Pro and ArtikPix Levels. We also formed a non-public agency to contract speech-language services with schools. Oh, and we had a baby! It was a great year and we're looking forward to more great things in 2015. Happy Holidays from our family to yours! *Happy Holidays image from Chris Hartman

Eric Sailers, speech-language pathologist and owner of Expressive Solutions, has been learning iOS programming. He took the initiative because he wanted to collaborate more effectively with iOS developers on apps by Expressive Solutions. Plus, he has hopes of developing iOS apps for Expressive Solutions at some point in the future. He started creating videos to demonstrate various iOS programming skills. He believes if he can teach the skills he can demonstrate his understanding of the skills. Here's a video (best viewed at 720p in full-screen mode) of Eric using Xcode (Mac app) to demonstrate how to post to Twitter from an iOS app. If you can't see the video, click here to go to YouTube.
